Why do pictures I receive in email not open?

If the email is from anyone other than a SBC customer the only thing I get is a white box with a 'red x' in the top left hand corner. Thank you.

1. you may not have downloaded the proper software such as Java...media player 10..acrobat reader, etc. Use your search bar to find them...Microsoft.com has many..





2. Right clicking on the red X will give u an OPEN option..Rarely works, buttttt





3. Send the message to someone else.. They SOMETIMES will end up in MY PHOTOS or ATTACHMENTS located below your box with send...drafts..bulk..etc...Never have figured out why some go there and others dont, but most of them do...
Reply:the reason is there may be firewall on the email. you should be able to open them any way by clicking on the shortcut.
